WaxFrame is free, open-source software. These terms cover use of the hosted site at waxframe.com. Plain version: it's provided as-is, you bring your own API keys and pay your own provider costs, and the open-source license governs the code itself.
Effective May 25, 2026.
By using the WaxFrame site or software, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use WaxFrame.
WaxFrame is open-source software released under the GNU AGPL-3.0 license. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the code are governed by that license. These Terms govern your use of the developer-hosted site and the WaxFrame Pro offering; where the AGPL and these Terms address different things, both apply.
WaxFrame connects to third-party AI providers using API keys you supply. You are solely responsible for:
• Obtaining and securing your own API keys.
• All usage charges billed by those providers — WaxFrame does not bill you for AI usage and has no visibility into your provider spend.
• Complying with each provider's terms of service and acceptable-use policies.
• The content you submit and the lawful, appropriate use of any output you generate.
WaxFrame is a client that talks to services it does not operate — the AI providers, Gumroad (payments and license verification), and GitHub Pages (hosting). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. WaxFrame is not responsible for their availability, pricing, output, or conduct.
WaxFrame Pro is sold through Gumroad. Purchases, license issuance, and refunds are handled by Gumroad under its terms. A valid license key unlocks Pro features; sharing or redistributing license keys is not permitted. Because the underlying code is AGPL-3.0, you always retain your rights under that license regardless of Pro status.
WaxFrame is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. There is no guarantee of uptime, availability, accuracy of AI output, or fitness for any specific task. This mirrors the warranty disclaimer of the AGPL-3.0.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of WaxFrame shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost data, lost profits, or third-party API charges — arising from your use of or inability to use WaxFrame, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms may be updated; the effective date above will change and the history is visible in the public repository. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by the terms of the AGPL-3.0 as applied to the software itself.
